Remembrance Day Resources
On 11 November 1919, the first Remembrance Day was held to honour those who served and died in World War I.
Today, Remembrance Day is a chance to recognise all who have lost their lives in service, including in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.
As long as we remember, they and their families won’t be forgotten.
How your workplace can take part
While Remembrance Day falls on a weekday this year (Monday 11 November), you can still commemorate at work in a range of simple yet meaningful ways.
Individually or as a team, you could wear a poppy, perhaps light a candle, and pause for a minute’s silence at 11am. If you can, you might wish to attend a Remembrance Day service or donate to the Poppy Appeal.
"The little bit of time it takes out of your day to just stop and remember means the world to everybody who’s served.” – Jarrett, Australian Army veteran
